ambition

The Ambition user manual

Your work,
on every screen.

Ambition shows Designer projects on the screens in your room. Speak or use the room page to choose what each screen shows; Ambition answers on screen, never out loud.

Sign in and out

Open your installation’s address and sign in with your Diffusion staff account. Ambition sends you to the Diffusion sign-in page and returns you to the room page afterwards. To sign out of Ambition in this browser, open Sign out.

Ambition shows the room page only when its room host is connected. If the page reports that the room host is unavailable, the host is restarting or offline; try again shortly or ask the person who looks after the installation.

Connect a room through Diffusion Portal

The room page shows all defined screens live, updating as their content changes. Choose Zoom to focus on one, then All screens to return. Screen settings and History open below the monitor. Preview shows rendered content; AirPlay source shows the sender’s composed source. Lossless means full-quality frames; Preview JPEG means the room is using the slower compressed fallback. Frame age and unavailable states identify interrupted monitoring.

On a room installation, sign in with your Diffusion staff account. Open Connect your screens, create an Ambition production key in Designer’s key settings, and paste it into the secure Connect Designer form. Select the projects you want the room to use, then review their exact permissions in Portal. Never paste a key into the conversation.

Approval can let existing output continue after ordinary sign-out for up to 24 hours. New microphone use, navigation and edits still require a current signed-in controller. Disconnect or revoke access in Portal to stop the room’s authorization.

When automatic recovery is enabled, opening the room reconnects its saved app views under current approval. It keeps their saved versions; it does not repeat edits or page advances. Requesting Neutral keeps that screen stopped until you explicitly reopen it. On your phone, open the same installation’s phone controller, sign in, and tap Start voice. The browser asks for microphone permission. Starting on another controller explicitly transfers the room microphone. On installations with continuous voice enabled, Stop turns the microphone off while its last words finish sending. Voice is real time: audio that does not reach Ambition is gone, and nothing is kept in the browser to recover or download. If the microphone stops on its own, start it again. Reconcile an unknown original action instead of repeating it. Logical screens without a trusted receiver show app previews only; they do not establish television output. Use each screen’s simulated display link to open its preview. To use a configured television, save its receiver choice and explicitly choose Connect selected receiver. Enter a requested current television code only in that private form. Neutralize before changing an existing receiver. If a result is unconfirmed, look up the original operation before trying again; a paired receiver still needs a separately confirmed output admission. If the app action is confirmed but rendering is blocked, use Reload saved view to recover the pinned view. Do not repeat a page advance to test whether it happened.

Voice in, visuals out

The predictive room installation and opt-in local trial respond entirely on screen: candidate commands before execution, visible progress, large choices when a request is ambiguous, and results. It does not speak acknowledgments, questions or replies. Start its microphone explicitly. The room screens show what was heard: a band along the bottom of the screen a command is for, such as “Opening Launch review on Center”, then “Done”, while the presentation stays visible above it. When a request matches several presentations, the center screen shows up to five large numbered choices; say the number (“one”, “two”…) or the name, “more choices” to page through the list, or “cancel this request”. Choices are also shown on the controller, which must stay open for a spoken choice to count. Independent requests keep their own progress. An unseen candidate remains blocked, and an uncertain action must be reconciled by its original result. Real phone, timing and television acceptance require separate checks; unresolved authority or an unbound receiver can still block app output.

Voice help appears on the room screens, never spoken. Its quoted examples are drawn from what that screen accepts right now, such as “Show recent projects” or a number from a list on screen. After a command is not done or a screen is unclear, a short strip of examples appears under the result for about eight seconds. Empty and list screens keep a small hint strip along the bottom. Say “What can I say?”, “Help” or “Help on Ambition Center” for a larger card of grouped commands on that screen for about twelve seconds or until your next command. Opening a deck or specification shows a short strip for about five seconds, then the presentation is left clear.

Missed speech

Voice is real time. If Ambition cannot act on a request when you say it, for example because the microphone stream was interrupted, its timing or the screens changed before it could run, or the room host restarted, the request is dropped. Nothing is held for later review, and blocked requests are not shown. Say the request again. An installation in intake-only testing can transcribe your speech while showing “App actions are held for testing.”; commands do not run until the operator finishes qualification. For a controller summary, say “Show room status.” An uncertain earlier action must be reconciled with its original result before you repeat it.

Try the local screen operator

The reboot trial opens a separate local operator with disposable Designer content. Ask your developer to start the predictive local trial and give you its local address. Add a logical screen, assign the offered project, and wait for Presentation and Agenda to be ready. Select a view for manual navigation. For voice, use the single Room conversation panel, allow microphone access and wait for it to connect. Name the screen you want to control or explicitly set conversational focus.

Try “next page on the left screen,” or request a heading change on a named screen. An accepted edit first enters the app’s journal. Use Refresh app result to see whether its source was saved. When a new snapshot is offered, explicitly adopt it in the intended view; saving alone does not replace the snapshot already shown. Presentation and Agenda retain separate snapshot choices. Voice remains connected when a view is replaced or a saved snapshot is adopted.

The local host restores saved Designer assignments automatically when current app access permits it; you can also reopen them manually. Neutral keeps the local output cleared across restarts. Logical screens begin without a receiver binding; this trial does not pair with a television. These instructions describe the separate local trial.
